Just a Simple Girl...

Blogging? Me? I have hundreds of journals, but I have never blogged. I thought this morning...so many of my friends blog and I am sure I have something I can share with them in return! I always like for others to share simple tips, hints, a photo, a thought. So here we go!Maybe one person will read this...

For those of you who know me, I am always thinking and I like to talk (stop laughing). I get it from my mom. I learned from an early age the art of talking well. I love to talk on the phone. I like to check in with people and hear their voices. I love to call someone for no reason and I have those I call every day. Do you feel our society is losing the art of personal touch? Of talking face to face or over the phone? 10 years from now are we only going to communicate by text or facebook? What will be the next facebook? Will we live like the Jetsons? That makes me sad. You know what else makes a world of non talkers hard, dating! There are 5 different ways a guy will try to contact you, but calling is the last option. I do understand that most guys do not enjoy talking on the phone, but what is going to happen when we meet in person?  I want to hear your voice, your laugh, if you have an accent, are you polite? I even want to hear your nervousness..it means you are real! Anyone else feel this way? Any phonies out there? I even still write letters...but that is for another post :)I challenge you today to call someone, hear their reaction when you tell them you are just calling to say hey..it will make their day and yours!
Let's keep old school communication alive!

I will leave you with 2 of my favorite people to call...my nephews!

  3. Good work, Beth. I started a blog last year before moving and have yet to post on it...so maybe yours will inspire me to get something going.

One of things I miss most about you is chatting on the phone (or over a bowl of cheese dip). I need to hear your voice and giggle more often.
